It's Apple Season! - Some of Our Favorite Massachusetts Orchards

Written by Jeff Gilchrist | Sep 6, 2018 5:35:54 PM

Get your baskets ready- it's apple season in New England! From apple cider doughnuts to hot apple cider, this is one of our favorite times of the year.

While every apple picking experience can be special, here are a few of our local New England favorites to take the family:

Belkin Family Lookout Farm
89 South Pleasant St, South Natick MA

Lookout Farm's close proximity to Boston makes it an ideal spot for families to make a quick day trip while still enjoying vast rolling hills and country living. You can even enjoy a refreshing Hard Cider at The Lookout Taproom on location

Honey Pot Hill Orchards

138 Sudbury Rd, Stow, MA

Although the apple picking is the main activity, enjoying the apple cider doughnuts is why we make the trip. Navigating mazes, petting farm animals, and classic hay rides are just a few more examples of fun activities at Honey Pot Hill. Don't be surprised if you wait in line during the peak of the season to get your hands on the doughnuts, but we promise it's worth the wait!

George Hill Orchards
582 George Hill Rd, South Lancaster MA

We love George Hill Orchards for the view and the awesome variety of fruit to be picked. In addition to apples, they also grow peaches, nectarines, and blueberries.  George Hill Orchards is all about about preserving Old New England Style farming from one generation to the next.

Don't forget apple season is also peak time for adult deer tick season. Perform tick checks after being outdoors, and request a free consultation from our team if you or your pets are picking up ticks from around your home.
