Will The Rain Wash Away Your Tick & Mosquito Treatment?

Posted by Pure Solutions on May 29, 2019 4:04:00 PM

Boston recently broke the record for the rainiest April on record!

The constant cool and wet weather has helped ticks thrive this spring and will inevitably become a catalyst for mosquito activity in the coming weeks and months. At Pure Solutions we strive to protect our clients effectively and sustainably, no matter the circumstances. This sometimes means treating properties with rain in the forecast.

This leads to the question, “If it’s raining won’t my tick and mosquito spray be washed away, or ineffective?” The answer to this concern is no!

Rain

As long as the product has 45 minutes to an hour to set, the rain will NOT affect the efficacy of the treatment for two reasons.

  1. The product is eliminating both ticks & mosquitoes on contact, so there will be instant knockdown on present populations.
  2. We use an Organics Materials Review Institute (OMRI) listed adjuvant that acts as a sticker and breaks down the tension point of water. That means the product will bind to your lawn and foliage preventing the rain from washing the application away.

Our product performs similar to how paint dries on a house. Once the paint has dried you are confident that the paint will not be washed away by future storms. Just like our tick and mosquito control!

We recognize that this is a common concern. However, we have the experience and the results to show that our natural tick & mosquito spray, as well as our organic lawn treatments, are effective even in wet conditions. We hope this provides a peace of mind that you and your family are still being protected no matter how much it rains. If you want to discuss in more detail, give us a call or contact us today.
