What is organic lawn management?

Posted by Peter DiClemente on Apr 26, 2016 12:30:00 PM

An organic lawn uses only natural methods and no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or chemical herbicides. Conventional fertilizers and pesticides destroy the soil’s natural ecosystem, causing the lawn to become chemically dependent and relying on more chemicals to sustain it.

This is the vicious circle that most of our lawns find themselves in today; the lawn becomes a “junkie.” Unlike the organic lawn seen below.

With an organic lawn program, we build up the beneficial nutrients and organisms that should occur naturally in the soil. By helping the soil’s ecosystem, the lawn becomes more sustainable and better able to withstand pests, disease and drought problems.
